2014 Featured Artist: Caitlyn Landrum
Growing up with constant involvement in the arts, Caitlyn Landrum was self-decidedly an artist at a very young age.
With support from her parents and two older siblings, Caitlyn explored the arts in many forms. Hand drawing, sculpture making, singing, musical theatre, drama, and dancing all came together to cement her passion for art and how many forms it can take. This allowed her to practice showmanship and know the importance of detailed work.
These various studies in art led Caitlyn to a collegiate study of architecture at Clemson University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with a Minor in Visual Arts. While studying architecture, Caitlyn continued to perform as a singer in the Clemson University Singers, the university’s large ensemble for which each member is required to audition. Caitlyn graduated cum laude in December of 2012. She worked with Childs Architecture, LLC in Greenville, SC as an intern before returning to school in the Fall of 2013.
Caitlyn is currently studying at Clemson University pursuing a Master of Architecture + Health degree. Caitlyn intends to practice architecture in the South Carolina upstate region upon graduation in 2015.
Check back in October to view some of her work for WIA.
